No-name CompUSA branded water resistant flexible keyboard. I've had it for almost a year, if memory serves.

Jeebus that's sexy. Have you tried using any other USB-slave devices, like a mouse? Also, what would happen if you just plugged the keyboard straight into the usb-slave-to-host gender changer thingy, that is, taking the power adapater out of the equation entirely? Would the keyboard still work?
