p.s. It may FINALLY be cool enough here in Phoenix to do a new GPS howto. It looks like IT2006 and Maemo Mapper are much more stable than the gpsdrive port in my last howto (and it turns out to be one of my most popular posts ever.) However, Phoenix has been in the 115 degrees F (46 degrees C) range for a while so it's been FAR too hot to sit in the car and do a howto. This weekend looks more like mid 90's (around 33C) so it looks like a possibility - if it's not raining too much.
