New Canola Video

This is my first experiment with Final Cut Express HD. Blogging on a Mac is ... different. We'll see how this all works.

Anyhow... This is Canola on the N800. The camera is more stable but not perfect. I am also using the "wood box" skin.

Good Video ThoughtFix, illustrates the use of Canola in the car very well, have you connected the audio to the car audio system yet and if so what are the options open to users of the N800 and Canola?

Be aware that you can press the Large Audio, Video and Picture icons when down in a specific menu to quickly get to top menu. You don't need to press the button right hand tick icon to start the selected track, you can press the selected area to perform the same operation.

Have you noticed like me that the provided N93 promotion video plays better through Canola than the built in Media player of the N800?

I really like the way Canola interacts with Pictures and Audio at the same time, this also works really great when using Twonky and TVersity as UPnP AV server on my main PC “when in the home” thus saving the need to transfer all AV to MMC cards etc. (Allowing/enabling me to play AV anywhere in the home without thinking about downloading and converting material onto N800 and media cards)

Keep an eye on the TVersity Universal Media Server as I believe it will support the N800 even better in future releases. (Not to mention Xbox360, Wii, UPnP Players, various Mobile devices)

Nice video... and really well done!

Camera seems rock solid and music is much better than previous in-car video ;-)

Mike has great advices, but since he mentioned N93: we can use its UPnP server just fine! No more troubles to access your phone videos, pictures and music!

As a Canola Developer, I'd like to ask you to report bugs/feature requests to our tracker. As you saw, we implemented a bunch of suggestions you have made.

"Driving while using the N800 is dangerous", hmm I think watching a video adds to that danger! lol

I'm a new N800 user, must try this canola thing out... I'll try not do so while driving.
