Thank you, dear readers!

As of this writing, I have 20 responses to my last post. While many of the responses are wildly different, some common themes emerge. Well worth the read!

Also, someone took my port request to heart and adapted their own developing technology to making a 3D tron clone for Maemo! It looks like angsTRON powered by BZK is rapidly progressing from "concept" to "alpha." I hope this momentum continues.

Thank you all for the wonderful feedback. I hope Nokia's product team reads along.

The best part about being a "features and hacks" blogger (as opposed to being a "news" blogger) is that I consider the news sites to all be my friends and not my competition. That said, one of my "blog friends" will be the host of my N800 for a couple weeks for evaluation. I'm going to ship it out this weekend. I know how detailed they go into their articles, so I'll be sure to link to it as soon as it is posted.

BZK is the name of the game engine ;-)
I guess tomorrow I will have a alpha for you. Right now Im working on the models collision (remember: GL is not very suitable for the 770/N800 , so my game engine does everything by itself - I wrote the 3D render from scratch and there some stuff incomplete yet).

Im also working on the IA, it is somewhat dumb right now. I must play armagetron to get a notion on how its IA works...

Im also thinking about the progression of the game.
Maybe 20 levels. the first starts on a head to head and each level adds a new bike on the arena. maybe some power-ups (Im heavily influenced by N-Gage's Snakes ;-) love that game. It has simple yet great graphics )

one important question: my Maemo SDK is still mistral. I could sucessfuly run mistral-generated code on scirocco but I haven't tested on gregalle yet. do you know if there is good compatibility between Bora and Mistral?

So what are you going to do with those data from your survey?

I know I'm a bit biased ("a bit"! LOL), being an ex-newtoneer an'all, but I was rather glad to see I'm not the only one finding the N800's HWR "wanting" (to use a polite term).
