N800 Home Control?

HiddenWires.co.uk mentions that LivingControl.com has a Nokia N800 compatible module now, but I was unable to find out if the N800 is used for home control, home automation, or just a receiver for streaming media. Whatever it is, it looks attractive - and expensive.

I contacted LivingControl.com and asked for a press kit. As soon as I know more, I will post it here.

ThoughtFix,

here is the url to a California company, USCL that has developed an energy consumption monitoring/management application that runs on the Nokia 770 and which works with a so-called "smart" electric meter which USCL have also developed.

The meter + app are used to close the economic "demand-response" feedback loop for the consumer to save cost and, of course, to render the "knock=on" benefits that reduced energy demand has on the environment and the economy. This kind of application has utility (no pun intended) throughout the world and studies have shown that the implementation of such systems generally results in a reduction of 7-10% in the demand on the electric grid.
