New Firmware Follow-Up

Thanks for the overwhelming positive feedback on my Liveblogging of the N800/Skype/Firmware upgrade. One commenter suggested that the text field and browser rendering issue can be solved by changing the theme, then changing it back and rebooting. This must be some kind of glitch from the backup/restore functionality. It worked!

Have you guys had any problems with the latest firmware trashing SDHC cards?

Mine died tonight and a quick bit of reading around shows up more than a handful of people out there who have had their cards die on them in the first couple of days after the upgrade.

So far no word from Nokia but we all live in hope that this is i) easily fixed and ii) there is someway of recovering the cards (I for one had to scrimp and save for mine).

Thoughts?
