In my daily check for news, I spotted the "LJPRX-44" just filed today at the FCC's site. Sadly, everything is under confidentiality so we do not get to know more about this. Here's what we DO know.

- It's not too far off from the N800's LJPRX-34 FCC ID, By contrast, the 770 was LJPSU-17.
- FCC report includes Wireless LAN and Bluetooth.
- The FCC label includes a CNC-ID - not present in the N800.
- The general shape of the device is accurate to the N800
I have a doctor appointment RIGHT NOW so can't research this further, but expect more fromme in a few hours.

Because of the shape on the picture, could this be the N800 with WiMax?
Or could it be that we will get the next IT before Christmas this time?
Whats a "CNC-ID"? I never heard this before.
Oh, it has GPS and battery BPL-4L
not sure if direct link will work

There's a mention in the FCC test report of "WCDMA band is tested in idle mode." - N800 with cell-phone connectivity?
CNC-ID seems to be Comisión Nacional de Comunicaciones Argentina's FCC equivalent.
Most likely the Wimax N800.
Mhm. I have to admit this is all above me. It mentions WCDMA (but only once and without any further test results), does not make a single reference to WiMax, seems to have GPS (yeah!)... This cant be right, can it? We know there has to be WiMax in it, they told us! ???
Could this be the version with a sliding keyboard, rather than the WiMax version? I thought that was going to be available this fall.
It's possible that we'll see two new tablet models soon. Nokia's openly said they're making a Wimax version of the N800, and we've also seen those supposed photos of a totally new tablet with a keyboard.
I notice the external photos only have a 45 day confidentiality, so perhaps we will see some official pictures some time in November.
The outline does make it look like an N800 though, I'd bet on this being the version with Wimax.
I'd imagine that the 45 day delay means that they expect to launch within 45 days with this new tablet.
Or that is the longest time they can apply for, for that type of disclosure immunity.
Noticed under tested devices/accessories section:
"Printer HP deskjet 1600CC3540A, Digital camera FUJI DS-7, Serial cable
for camera, Parallel cable for printer"
Does this mean that it can now print and do USB host/USB on the go to the camera?
Photos of a version with a sliding keyboard? I must have missed those. When was that?
Hmm, thinking about it it could just be them being really too detailed about their testing -- this could just be the camera they took pictures of the device with, and the printer they used to print the report.
I've just thought of something: if this IS just the N800 with wimax, why would they keep the external photos confidential at all?
We already know what the N800 looks like! :-)
The photos of the sliding keyboard model are totally utterly unconfirmed, we have no idea if they're genuine, they could be fake.
With that disclaimer out of the way, here they are:

That's a good point. I've always thought that when they said n800 with wimax, they really meant next gen internet tablet plus wimax -- to not give too much away or harm current n800 sales.
My N800 (bought from Amazon a couple of months ago) does have the "CNC-ID" field on the label:
CNC-ID: C-5205
(Also: FCC ID: LJPRX-34).
In other words, this probably has nothing to do with the new -44 (possibly WiMax?) model.
As far as I can tell from looking at the FCC report, this tablet does NOT contain WiMax capability. If it did, the FCC would have had to test the RF emissions in the WiMax range (2.5 GHz)and this test does not appear in that report. The test DOES show that they tested WiFi, Bluetooth, and Bluetooth + GPS emissions. This would appear to be a new model of tablet with built-in GPS rather than with WiMax.

As far as I can tell the WCDMA text is part of some standard test template because you can read the same thing from the n800 test reports. The gps thing does seem to be new but even that can be just the rx-44 + bluetooth gps receiver.
Here's the n800 rx-34 test reports

Why you were going to the doctor? hope you are all right.
i am getting very worried what happened to you at the doctor??! please answer us soon! hope your ok!
I love all the speculation.
: )
This is the RX-44 that was speculated about on the ITT forum back in June, because someone spotted a n800 picture at the boot screen with an initfs version "RX-44"
If indeed its correct that test of WiMax frequencies should show up in the FCC report, my bet at this point would be that's its simply a N800 with GPS and perhaps some other minor tweaks...
If it would be an external GPS receiver then it should be mentioned in certified equipment. On contrary, I see two reports inside: one for GPS emissions and another one is for BT+GPS emissions.
This means that the device has internal GPS module (which is good). Other than that it could be very similar to N800 in its exterior.
A new Maemo 4 Quick Start Guide has raised a GPS API among the five most important system services. But I think we knew already that a GPS was integrated.

I'd like an ipod touch than a nokia phone.
I think it's convient for us using Nokia phone.
