Really only one slot? Other sites report two slots.

OS2008? Huh. I hope that's something that will be supported for the N800.
There's no direct camera upload through flash because Adobe still does not support webcams on Linux.
ONE(????????) MiniSD (?!) card slot? I hope you're joking =[
Please confirm card type and slot count please
If you think about it, changing the card format with every new model is completely consistent with Nokia's established IT MO... with any luck, for the N900 they will switch to MemoryStick!
"Youtube is smooth"...
Like PC performance, or smoother then the last Bora update, or ???
OS 2008 works on the N800 but I dont know if its backwards compatible with 2007 software
Wheres the Wimax people?
ARGH!!! My brand new N800 was delivered to my door TODAY (as yet unopened)! What to do??
yea i just got one too.....gah
to mbsaph & kenny:
the main difference between N800 and N810 must be the keyboard, GPS and size (N810 smaller but weight more). N800 has 2 card-slot and N810 1 so IMO the N800 is better choice atm.
Due to be released in the US first, next month! :o

Unless they upgraded the processor and internal ram. I won't be upgrading. I would never use the GPS. And small keyboards like that I've always found useless.
It looked like they bumped the mhz of the processor a little bit, but not enough for me personally to say "oohh wow". I think the new os updates probably helped more than the processor.
The only real "upgrade" that I can see is the keyboard and the gps built in.
I don't care about a small keyboard. If I want to do any serious typing, I'll use a bluetooth keyboard.
I don't care about a gps because I have that on my phone already and can get a better quality unit for less money for the car.
Honestly I was going to wait until this new unit to be announced to order my 800. I am probably going to still order my 800 next week. I didn't want to see something for the same price (or slightly more) for like twice the processor power. The upgrade for the price to me isn't worth it.
For someone who loves tactile response keyboards and gps integration it is actually a great product, but for my uses it just isn't enough bang for the buck.
But is there an FM tuner?
Yes, I am that guy who still listens to the radio.
Larry-T your making me reconsider buying the n810...grr
ps who doesn't listen to radio??
Have they said anything about a European launch yet or have they forgotten their roots in the race for the dollar?
How is video support now? Can you playback any full DVD resolution DivX video or is it still too weak for real multimedia?
@larry-t
some comments on ITT.com say that the n800 was underclocked for battery performance, and this will be bumped to 400mhz with 2008. The CPU is the same as in the n810 (OMAP 2420)
So my N800 remains unopened in the box - SUCH mixed feelings about diving in and opening it versus returning it and waiting for the N810 to hit stores. Some things I've read make me comfortable sticking with the N800, others not so much. Anyone have a clue what the opening street price of the N810 will be, assuming the $479 list price?
@Stephen
Hi Stephen, according to T3 online, the Nokia N810 is due to arrive in the UK before Christmas for £299. Not sure about other European countries.

"It's due on these shores before Christmas for £299, although keep your eyes peeled for a deal on contract too."
