My post this morning was a bit premature. OS2008 on the N800 is officially BETA and not a full release as per the announcement on maemo.org. It's also so incredibly popular that even 15 hours after it was posted the download crawls. Someone even posted a torrent on Pirate Bay. I'll keep seeding.
I was going to do a review/overview, but it appears the community at InternetTabletTalk said everything I was going to say already! Yay community!
Since this is a release "for developers," I think it's high time the users yell about our wishists again. Ricky already did this on tablet-guru. My wishlist is as follows:
- Flash support for the webcam so users can stream directly to YouTube or uStream.tv
- More desktop management software including a bookmark manager and music sync application.
- Desktop status screensaver kind of thing - rolls by RSS feeds, gives Email alerts, etc. for when the OS2008 tablet is next to the computer and charging.

Agreed with the screensaver, there are some Chumby-esque goodies I would love to see implemented as tablet screensavers for those "just sitting on my desktop or table" moments.
Or how about a photo slideshow SS.
I totally agree with you about the Flash support for webcam. It was a big disappointment to me that it hasn't been addressed in OS2008. It would make the webcam so much more useful.
p.s. There is a bookmark manager of sorts, in the Internet menu just under Web. Drag and drop organization.
At last a usable PDF viewer, so no need to reinstall Evince. So far, so good.
However, I have to say that I find the browser a huge disimprovement on Opera. The way Opera handled the task of jumping from link to link was really very neat: a press on the down-arrow jumped to the next link visible on the screen. On this page at least (www.guardian.co.uk), MicroB loops through the first 3 or 4 links on the page and, when I scroll down to get at some links further down the page, and then press the down-arrow again, it jumps right back up to the top of the page! I can see a time coming when I'll use my "Internet" tablet for anything except browsing.

it will tell what repo do not work but if its that it will tell error but blank answer. I disable all that i can but i cant disable / edit that one and it will not still give error but will not tell what repo it is. Then i thing only one repo is not disabled and still error it have to be that nokia-Systemsoftware updates (dunno if it is that in english i translated it from finnish name) third repo in list
