GPS and WiFi - Missed convergence

Here's a thought:

The Nokia N810 Internet Tablet includes a GPS receiver with Wayfinder maps and points of interest. It also has a one-click installation for Boingo Mobile. According to Boingo's site, there are 72 wireless hotspots in Phoenix.

Can we see what's missing here? Why don't we see Boingo specific WiFi hotspots in Wayfinder's POI list?

And why do we have Skype but have to copy and paste numbers from the web browser?

I'd be really keen to hear about any (free) WiFi list/POIs, especially in Japan, that I could preload on my tablet. Are there such site out there now?

The original navigation software for the 770 contained WiFi hotspots as POIs, even though I switched them off soon enough for they clouded the streets I wanted to drive (Berlin's loaded with WiFi). Therefore, I don't remember if they showed whether or not they showed if they were free or pay spots.

By the way, Wayfinder has started a video competition on youtube. You can find the competition details on www.wayfinder.com/videocompetition. The winner gets a Sony Vaio LapTop worth about 1.500 dollars.
