Thoughtfix, Thank you for maintaining your blog over the years. I started reading when I got my 770 and I continue to this day to watch the blog in my rss reader even while the 770 collects dust on the shelf. I hope that you leave the blog up until a new maintainer can take it over.

thanks. I know how much effort goes into keeping a website up (I've tried and had very limited success with my zaurus site), so I can appreciate your efforts.

If nothing else, perhaps let other people take it over - appoint some guests admins etc - to keep it running - it's a good resource and a nice focus.

Sorry if I am a little unforgiving by your attitude, but this was all planned years ago as the evolution of this device. When it comes to price, the price is not at all out of line for the features of the device. If I added up my cell phone, N810, and camera all together , they would be more than the $559 for the device. The N900 is only 50% more than the N810. Blogging

For a long time, the 770 and the N800 supplied the momentum for the inexpensive Linux tablet. But nowadays that need is met by sub-$100 netbooks.

So I find I'm not as unhappy with the changed rationale for the maemo tablets as I expected to be.

My own interests and needs have changed too during this time; I do find the N900 remarkable but not in the ways

I wish you had at least applied for sponsorship to the Summit. You probably would have gotten it, and you would have gotten an N900 of your own, and you would have seen just how much the N900 is the direct descendent of the tablets; it is more a tablet with a phone. It certainly doesn't feel like a smartphone.

I want to thank you for all if your contributions to the Maemo and Internet Tablet communities.

You were the one who got me interested in tablets with the video of the n800 running the map and CarMan apps in your car. Since then, I have purchased an n800 and an n810 and even authored a few apps.

TabletBlog will never be the same without you.
