I sometimes turn it off when I'm taking it with me but know I won't be using it for several hours; for example, if I'm going to class straight from work. I won't be using it at work, so I go ahead and turn it off.

Actually, I would want to switch my N800 off or at least "more off", since I rarely use it each and every day.<BR/><BR/>The good old palmpilot ran for several weeks on one battery charge and it had a real "instant off & on" switch.<BR/><BR/>The N800 just keeps running and idly eating up its battery.<BR/><BR/>Too bad this has been closed with WONTFIX by Nokia:<BR/><BR/>https://bugs.maemo.org/
