If it would be an external GPS receiver then it should be mentioned in certified equipment. On contrary, I see two reports inside: one for GPS emissions and another one is for BT+GPS emissions.This means that the device has internal GPS module (which is good). Other than that it could be very similar to N800 in its exterior.

If indeed its correct that test of WiMax frequencies should show up in the FCC report, my bet at this point would be that's its simply a N800 with GPS and perhaps some other minor tweaks...

This is the RX-44 that was speculated about on the ITT forum back in June, because someone spotted a n800 picture at the boot screen with an initfs version "RX-44"

As far as I can tell the WCDMA text is part of some standard test template because you can read the same thing from the n800 test reports. As far as I can tell from looking at the FCC report, this tablet does NOT contain WiMax capability. If it did, the FCC would have had to test the RF emissions in the WiMax range (2.5 GHz)and this test does not appear in that report. The test DOES show that they tested WiFi, Bluetooth, and Bluetooth + GPS emissions. This would appear to be a new model of tablet with built-in GPS rather than with

My N800 (bought from Amazon a couple of months ago) does have the "CNC-ID" field on the label: CNC-ID: C-5205(Also: FCC ID: LJPRX-34).In other words, this probably has nothing to do with the new -44 (possibly WiMax?) model.

That's a good point. I've always thought that when they said n800 with wimax, they really meant next gen internet tablet plus wimax -- to not give too much away or harm current n800 sales.

Hmm, thinking about it it could just be them being really too detailed about their testing -- this could just be the camera they took pictures of the device with, and the printer they used to print the report.

It's possible that we'll see two new tablet models soon. Nokia's openly said they're making a Wimax version of the N800, and we've also seen those supposed photos of a totally new tablet with a keyboard.I notice the external photos only have a 45 day confidentiality, so perhaps we will see some official pictures some time in November.The outline does make it look like an N800 though, I'd bet on
